What happens when Saturn's magnetic field crosses Jupiter's magnetic field?
Presumably, given the vast size of their fields, the two cross whilst orbiting. What happens to the fields/planets when this happens?

The same thing that happens when you bring magnets close to each other...
But really, the fields may be strong, but thanks to the inverse square rule, diminishes greatly the further you get away from the planet. Given the distances from each other's orbit - there is very little interaction between the two. Nothing remotely strong enough to even begin to affect their orbits.

Despite the crap of a movie, it's only about Venus. It's the planet that can be seen at night. the Mayans tracked and recorded Venus's position in the sky, and based their calendar on it. Nothing mysterious or "end of the world" stuff about it.

The flux capacitance divided by the inverse gravital magnetism times the mass density of the nebula wil probably have no effect whatsoever...
I read all about that in a magazine at my shrinks office ...
