bee stings, how to avoid then if you are a land-scapper,one of my men were stung at least 5 times by bees,?

my workers all do trimming and plant cutting, lawns,  i have them all caps and long sleeve shirts and long pants, but he got nailed anyway, is there some kine of spray or something that would turn away angry bees?

I worked for a landscape company for a few years
There is very little that can be done to repel them like a mosquito repellent spray
Bee stings are just an occupational hazard

The best defense is for them to be aware ofwhere they are working and what's in there

If stung the only defense is to run as fast as possible into the wind
Most people will stand there screaming and swatting

Bees are not really strong fliers and will get caught in the vortex of the arm swinging

is he by any chance allergic to bee stings?  my son is and
you could have a thousand people in an area and he 
would be the only one nailed. 
i have heard that threading a bounce dryer sheet through
a belt loop will help.  i haven't tried it because bees don't
seem to come near me.   not sweet enough, i guess.
