Where can I find the longitude and attitude for a certain location?

It's longitude and LATITUDE.

Tripoli is:

32° 54' North latitude and 20° 4' East longitude

You can google most major cities/country and the words longitude and latitude and get the coordinates.

you look at a map and on the sides and bottom it will have numbers and then an N for north a S for south a E for east and a W for west,

Latitude: 32° North

Longitude: 13° East

You should be able to Google that with out too much difficulty - just type the location you want plus the words, longitude and latitude - voila - you're there....

when you have the map there are many lines(very thick, usually blue)which have numbers on them at the end of the line, there can be vertical or horizontal.

The longitude is the horizontal one. if you have 52,42...for example,then you have to look for the longitude(which is 52)...you look at the numbers on the margins and find number 52 and you do the same for the vertical one...

Try Google Earth. It is one of the greatest inventions of our time.

U will find it in the gazetteer of the world.

My phone has a way to do that...I would look on it for you, but it is ..... google ways though. That should do it.
