Ever read Eisenhower's speech that he was going to give if D-Day failed? Can you even IMAGINE Bush saying something like those words?

If leadership is defined as taking and supporting positions with no regard to polling data or political expediency, and rather doing what you think is right (which is how I would define it) then I think we would grade recent Presidents:

Bush II - A

Clinton - C-

Bush I - B

Reagan - A-

Carter - B

Ford - B+

Nixon - B

Oh, and President wannabes Clinton and Obama - D and F, respectively.
