if you have a broadband connection normally the router has a hard firewall built in and if your friend has vista that has a very good firewall in defender

For instance i have the bt voyager 210 and that has one along with vista. and i took off zone alarm a few weeks ago.

But do get a good anti virus(but not Norton as it hogs the system and get loads of problems)
