Information about taxes?

I have to write a paper as homework about extraordinary depreciations - does anybody know any unseful resources?

Update:

Please give me some serious answers - I'm not in the mood to read all UK tax legeslation - that's why I'm asking.

    Difficulty is that there are so many methods of calculating depreciation, it is hard to quantify what counts as extraordinary depreciation.

    Normally extraordinary depreciation would be justified by some abnormal occurrence that shortened the lifespan of the asset.

    I have seen company accounts where the value of a brand name had been depreciated because of bad press.

    If you are looking for examples just google it.
