Did Albert die on Little House On The Prairie? In one show he came home to die,did they finish this storyline?

I couldn't remember so I looked it up on wikipedia. I always thought he came back as a doctor but wiki says there was more to the story. The info is below.

The eventual demise of Albert Ingalls is called in to question by two episodes. In the epilogue of "Home Again" (season 9), as Albert's stage coach pulls away in the final scene the viewer hears Laura in a voice over stating Albert returns in his adult years as Dr. Albert Ingalls. However, in the Season 10 film "A Look Back to Yesterday", the viewer is lead to believe Albert dies from a blood disorder around the age of 18. However, some viewers feel that since Albert's death is never actually shown, his return to Walnut Grove is entirely possible. However, this also could be called into question as the town of Walnut Grove was blown up in the final TV movie "Little House: The Last Farewell".

The episode J is referring to is when Laura's baby brother dies, not Albert. The one where Albert got sick, he's still alive at the end and that was year's later. Laura is still a child in the episode J is referring to. The one where Albert got sick, Laura is an adult.

When they were talking about "He is in Heaven child" and Caroline says it is God's will, they are not talking about Albert. That was earlier in the show even before Albert was in the program. That was Charles Ingalls, Jr. the baby they had that died not too long after he was born.

albert had a blood disorder...i dont know what it was called. the doctors couldnt do anything about it. he was visiting walnut grove as a trip with charles. he didnt want to go home because he didnt want his ma or siblings to see him die. he was happy in walnut grove. the school had a field trip to a bluff that they do every year and chose albert to lead the school kids. the show ends with laura and albert holding hands above their heads when they are at the top of the bluff for climbing it.

In the episode in question where Albert apparently succumbs to a fatal blood disorder, when Laura asks Charles, "where is he?", when Charles and Caroline return from the hospital. Charles replies to her, "He is in Heaven, child." They embrace, and Caroline says, "It was God's will.".

Sounds pretty definitive that Albert died in the episode.
