Period after miscarriage......?
I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks which was light, no clotting and lasted for nine days. Should I count my usual 28 day cycle from the day I started bleeding or the day I finished?? As it was 28 days yesterday and my boobs are killing and I feel hot sick and dizzy!! no-one seems to know if its the beginning of the bleeding or the end????
Thanks xxxx

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I recently had a miscarriage also and my obstetrician said that normally you will get your period again in 28 days (from when the miscarriage bleeding stopped). Sometimes it can take longer -- it did for me -- a miscarriage can really throw your body out of whack as your body has really been put under a lot of stress. Once your period returns, consider the first day of your period the first day of your normal, regular cycle. Hope that helps.

Every body is different. Before I had my MC in jnauary, i always had a 27 day cycle. My first period after MC in feb it was 31 days, and march 29 days. So it may take a while for your body to get back on track. Iwould take a pregnancy test. The pregnancy hormone from A MC at 5 weeks would be out of your system about a week after MC, so the chance of getting a false positive is extremely low. Good Luck to you!! Baby Dust*****

I had a miscarriage aswell and i can tell you from my personal experience that it really can be very confusing..... It may even make your periods and cycles irregular like it did me. I have even heard that some women can actually ovulate on thier period... my serious suggestion would be to see your doctor and work hand in hand with them... They will be your best tool in this venture. Sorry i couldn't be more help.
