Over there,
 In the box where my poems and letters are kept.
Is where I will hide my heart.
 I will keep it in the dark
and feast on it in the wild hour
when hunger beats me down

For a moment, i thought it was going to be a cliche - considering it was about your heart, darkness, etc. But the idea of you feasting on it made it a little different. So that's good. I think it would be good aspart of a longer piece that give a little more insight into why the protagonist wants to seperate his heart from himself.

you're who you're and that's the only one you will be. If the guy this poem refers to needs you to alter to somebody they think of you will be then don't get entangled with them.
