fastest way?
to lose weight?
My spring break starts April 7th and I am going to Florida. I would like to know the fastest way to lose weight in the stomach, thigh and butt areas. I need to lose no more than 20 pounds if possible. I refuse to do a crash diet and most exercises don't work. But if you know a certain diet or a exercises that are guaranteed to work would you please tell me?
here is a pic taken back in the summer. I still look the same.

First of all I want to say that my spring break is also on April 7th and I am going to Florida for spring break too!! I also want to lose some weight but only 10 to 15 pounds. How weird is that. I have been cutting down on all the food I eat and eating the right stuff. I eat a small bowl of cereal for breakfast. Some fruit for lunch. I have a small portion of whatever my family is eating at dinner. Make sure you get everything your body needs though. No pop, lots of sugar, fats. You can have some once in a while but not everyday. Good luck and maybe we will see each other!!! lol

There is no healthy way to lose 20 pounds by April 7th. Losing weight is pretty simple math.
1 pound of fat is 3500 calories
You must create a 3500 calorie/week deficit to lose 1 pound per week. This means subtracting 500 calories per day from your diet. You could try for 2 pounds per week (7000 calorie deficit), which would mean 1000 calories less each day. Reducing your caloric intake to less than 800 calories a day is not beneficial, as your body will slow its metabolism to retain the calories consumed, because it is in "starvation mode".
For maximum weight loss, concentrate on very lean proteins, whole grain carbs only, and lots of fruits and vegetables, and keep your daily calories around 800. Take a multivitamin, and you should probably get counseling from a Registered Dietitian if you want to try 800 calories/day, because it is easy to develop nutrient deficiencies if you don't know what you are doing.
For your spring break, I would recommend losing what you can as well as some "optical illusion" help. Tanning creates the illusion of definition. Airbrush tanning takes it a step further and uses shadowing techniques to create the illusion of muscle tone. Good luck!

change the way you eat, immediately
Start eating fruits, vegetables, lean meat, and whole grains. Stop eating fast food, and stop going to restaurants. Homecooked meals tend to be more nutritious and more healthy.
Stop drinking soda/pop, stop eating potato chips, stop putting sugar in your coffee. Stay away from all artificial sweeteners. Basically, go organic homecooked meals and you cant go wrong. if you want to snack, eat some baby carrots or slices of apples.
As for exercise, jog a mile every day or every other day. Try doing the stair-master on the balls of your feet (or wear heels on the stair master...Fergie does this and she has a great butt).
As for your stomach, there are many abdominal muscle workouts you can do, but running gets rid of alot of it. To tweak your abs, do sit ups with a medicine ball and rotate the ball left and right with your whole torso when you reach the "up" position. Crunches will work out the upper 4 abdominal muscles.
The lower 2 muscles groups below your belly button, and your obliques are the hard target areas for many people. To work the lower 2 abs, lie down on a workout bench, and have your butt touch the very end of the bench, so that your legs are hanging off. Now pretend you're riding a bicycle, and move your legs accordingly, as if you're riding an invisible bicycle. However, move your legs VERY slowly. your legs should have one complete revolution in about 5-8 seconds. try doing this as long as you can. it's going to hurt alot...
Another lower ab workout, is in the same position with your butt at the end of the workout bench. move both legs together from the 180degree angle to a 90 degree angle. After you reach the 90 degree angle, lower your legs back down to 180 degrees slowly. this should take about 5 seconds to lower your legs.
For your obliques, find a machine that has an angle to it where you can lean over it with a weight. Prop yourself up on the angled machine, with your side touching the cushion. Grab a 5 lb dumbbell, and try to get the weight as close to the ground as you can without moving your waist-down. then switch after 15-20 reps for your other side.
You should do a specific exercise every other day. If you overwork them, you might tear your muscles and you'll be postponed progress. Also, be sure to alternate between an upper ab workout set, then a lower ab workout set. that way you'll give your muscles time to rest.
