Is there a flu going around ?
i think my husband came home sick with the flu. which i dont understand i thought the flu shot was suppose to prevent it ?any suggestions on how i could try and not get it to i have small kids to take care of .any ideas?last time it went around everyone was sick at the same time it was horrible?? please help ??
oh yeah and he came home throwing up cant keep anything down. thank you all for ur answers!

Vomiting is not part of the flu virus the flu shots were targeting. The CDC has already admitted that the flu shot this year does not cover the flu that is going around (oops). Probably, all you got with your flu shot this year was a hefty dose of mercury.
High fever, total fatigue, body aches and *maybe* some vomiting is the flu.
WASH hands a lot! Don't let hubby care for the kids much. Don't share utensils and dishes. Even if it isn't the flu, you don't want it.
Get lots of rest and keep your body strong to fight off any bugs.

does he have the flu or does he have a cold?
It's likely that he has a nasty cold as oppossed to the flu-the flu can kill people which is why it is recommended that people are vaccinated. The flu shot does not protect against the common cold. There is always a small % of people that will still get the disease that they were vaccinated against- it doesn't always work.
Make sure you and your kids are eating a healthy balanced diet and get plenty of excercise- that's the best way to prevent a cold.

The flu is going around in my area and sometimes the flu shot causes you to get it.

yeah- the flu shot makes EVERYTHING WORSE! the year before i took a flu shot and i had the stumach and flu about 8 times in a year! last year and this year i didnt and i only had a flu ONCE! =] all my friends and relatives dont take them either!
