I have a serious EBAY question?!?!?!?

Im trying to pay for an item and when i try to checkout it says i need a confirmed address. And my confirmed address is a house i used to live in. When i try to edit or make new address and try again it goes back to the old address!! HELP?!?!?! IM NEW TO EBAY!!!
