Eek! Woke up this morning to this orange thingy on my chest. How do I get rid of it?
I logged in this morning, to find a "TC" badge from the "Yahoo! Answers category. I'm not one to stick to one category when I answer, as you can see, I answer from any category. But periodically I'll check out a certain category because I find that I can give a reasonable answers to the questions, and then move on elsewhere.
I do not understand how I got the "TC" badge, and how can I relinquish the badge? Yes, I'd give it away to anyone of you if I could.
If I want it to go away, do I have to stay away from Y!A totally for awhile? Or just the Yahoo! Answers category?
How do I go back to being a regular schmoe here on Y!A?

just dont answer questions in this category or go under 10 % best answers then it wil go away

Why on earth do you think of TC as a negative? Most of us didn't try for it... it just happens. I don't understand why you think it's some horrible thing. This only proves that being TC doesn't mean you are any different from anyone else on here. We don't answer any differently, we don't have any special privileges, we get any kind of recognition if we report anyone, or any points, special standing in the community, or ANY kind of recognition for anything whatsoever. I say just deal with it and don't treat it as if you've been demoted to less than human. It's kind of obvious how you got it. So just don't answer so much in the category you got it in, or only answer the stupid, fluff questions that you aren't likely to get Best Answer points in. Or just stop using Yahoo! Answers altogether. That way you'd never have to be stressed over the issued ever again. Why take the risk? The possibility is always there.

well u must have 10% or more best answers in this catagory. its not really a bad thing to have, but some people just don't like TCs. u can't give it away once u have it. if u really want it to go away, stay inactive (away from here) for a while. i lost mine after about a week or more of being inactive, but kind of wanted it back, now i'm thinking of getting rid of it again. i think maybe that will help raise my best answer percentage.
