Garbage Disposals?

Question

There was a hose connected to the washing machine connecttion on my garbage disposal. The hose got cut now water just streams out of it qall over if that side of the sink is used. Can I plug that hole or do I need to get a new disposal? Thanks!

You can't plug the hole in the dishwasher.  It's made to knock out when installing a dishwaher.  What I would suggest, if you aren't going to get a new dishwasher hose, is to cut a small piece off of it and take it to the home center or hardware store.  In the plumbing aisle you'll find what are called "barbed" fittings.  find one that will fit snuggly into your hose, with a threaded end on the other side  Buy that, as well as a hose clamp and a plumbing cap to screw onto the other end of the barbed fitting.  this will ensure a water tight seal.

Either plug the hole or clamp off the hose between the disposal and the cut.
