if u asked me this question in the presence of my mother, my answer will be my mother of course.........

if u asked it in the presence of my wife, my answer will be my wife of course.....

Mother. Wife is younger and can swim. Mother needs a bit more help. So will save mum and then go for wife.

if both of them are drawning and I can save only one, I would chose whichever is closer to me during the incident.

It is a matter of decision and not a matter who is most love between wife and the mother. If during the incident and your wife is closer to you, then I don't need to think over and over again because I might lose both of them if I will not save her instantly.

Now if I'm going to choose my wife because she is more important to me than my mother, and she is far distance during the accident,then there will be more guilt after the incident.

My answer would be logical, as I have said, it is not the proper time to select who you love most, but it is more on the practical side of saving lives.

I am of the opinion that the girl he has married to , should be the first but his responsibilities towards his mother can not be ignored. Surely 1st one his wife who has left all his relations and got married to him. Besides some duties of the wife towards his mother is also very important.

Well, unlike the first answer, I'm very much in love with my wife. I'd save her. I'm not sure if it would be a thought process rather than just a gut reaction. If I had to have a reason, I guess I am expecting that I will have to get used to living without a parent at some point anyway, but I couldn't enjoy life without my wife.

This is question for husband, so as a husband it is my duty to save my wife first. So, I will save my wife.

It would have to be my wife because the bible says that when you are married you are to cleave to your wife. It doesn't mean that you don't love your mother, but your mother can't do the things that your wife can do for you. And your wife is your better half that God has giving to you as your help mate and soul mate.

Without question I would save my wife. She is the mother of our children and the love of my life.

my wife. Logically the younger one needs to be saved. Even I think selfish, i need my wife more than my mother to live my life :-)
