I find it really hard not to compare my daughter with other, more advanced, babies. It's important to remember that all babies develop at different rates and early walking or talking are not indications of future intelligence!

Nope, I'm proud of everything that my baby has accomplished. I personally dont really care how other babies have grown, because every person is different. Plus those developemental milestones are just guidelines and shouldnt be taken strictly.

I like how I read that babies are supposed to start teething at 6 months, when there are some babies born with teeth or dont even start teething until way after their 1 year birthday.

Whenever I have any concerns that are serious I always call my 24 hour nursesline. ♥

It's tough being a mommy, you always worry about your children. I have a 17 year old, I worries about development when she was an infant, I worried about her health and safety through elementary and since she hit middle school I've been worried about her soul.

I have a 10 week old son now, I'm always watching him to make sure everything is okay. I don't make a big deal out of what other babies do. He is perfect in every way.

I get worried of course and I am pretty sure that all mothers do too. I believe that as long as we check with the pediatrician about what we are worried about and if they say its ok, take the word for it. And we just have to remember that every baby is different when it comes to development.

As you have already heard this... all babies develop at their own pace. Everything my baby accomplishes, I'm very happy & excited. My daughter seems to do everything at her own pace and I dont have one concern about it, and as long as her ped. has no concerns... who cares. Its so fun watching them grow and discover new things for the first time! Never compare your child with others. Our baby girl is so precious & perfect I cant even explain. I just love being a mommy!

Nope, because I know that babies each develop at their own individual pace. There's no reason to be worried unless your child is drastically not meeting their developmental milestones and your pediatrician becomes concerned.

it is common how u feel.not all the babies develop the same but if you have any concerns the best way to know if something is wrong is talking with your baby's doctor
