If you could not vote for your first choice and HAD to vote for an opposing party member, who and why?

Hypothetical.

You can't vote for who you think would make the best President... decide who would be next best OUTSIDE of your own Party.

Example:

If you are a Democrat, you MUST choose a Republican, Independent, Green or any other party.

Even if this 2nd choice candidate had no real chance of winning the election (Notice we still only get Rep and Dems

elected).

Briefly, why did you choose this candidate?

Please, only serious need reply.

I really couldn't support the republican party at this point. I would have to write in Stephen Colbert, and yes, I'm serious.

Second choice would be McCain probably. He has the experience and strength to be president. I just don't support Republican social policy though. I like Huckabee as a person though. I don't know enough about Romney or Guliani. But to be fair I don't really dislike any of the Republican candidates - just some of the policies that are throughout the party. (I'm supporting Hillary Clinton this election.)

If I couldn't vote for Ron Paul, I would vote for John Edwards. He seems like the straightest out of the Democrats. He's decent looking and has good manners. Don't know much about him really though. If the media isn't pushing him, that means he's a decent guy.

Its definitely not conveyed enough that Obama actually had more 'in the trenches' experience than Mrs. Clinton.

Obama's life experience..all that he represents is what America needs to regain its respect in this world. We need to show the world that we have not simply replaced Bush with another face...but put to rest the ideology behind his policies that has strangled this country for decades.

Everything, from his mixed race, his international exposure, his parents mixed beliefs, his intelligence, his obvious dedication to what is 'right' over what merely might make him wealthy, his ability throughout his political career to understand the people he was working with and bring opposite sides together...as well as his understanding that this is a pluralistic society we live in where I (an evangelical independant) and my neighbor (a Republican) and my father (a Dem) need to be able to work together..and that starts with respecting each others views and listening.

He has the 'all around' experience that we need in 2008.

    Its a new day.

    YES WE CAN

I don't know if I would vote. I have a hard time putting my votes or money to someone or a party that goes against all of my beliefs.

i'm a ron paul supporter and therefore against big government and government spending (we only have -$9 trillion to spend...that's NEGATIVE nine trillion). so i can't say i would want any dems because they want socialized healthcare...

i would probably go 3rd party and vote for Gore or Nader? whoever's running

it would be paul or mc cain ,undecided one of the things about mc cain is where would he get the money he so badly needs to continue on. im voting for hillary more of a balance, she has a lot to live up to, and her policies are pretty realistic

McCain. If I wasn't so partisan I would actually consider voting for him :-)
