SITUS INVERSUS, my son suffers from this malformation?
My son´s heart beats on the right, his liver is on the left. Where would his appendix be? I have read about the "Karthagener-Syndrom", anyone know details about this? Read about infertility. Does anyone, having this malfunction and being male have children?? Thanks for any answer

Even without other defects, the appendix can be on the left instead of the usual right side, so I would still say the right, but if he has lower abdominal pain (below belly button) on either side that causes him to bend over & not be able to stand up,then get him to the ER b/c chances are it is an appendicitis.
