An hepatitis autoimmune is some sort of Cance?

Autoimmune hepatitis is one variety of hepatitis which means inflammation of the liver. Most types of hepatitis are caused by various viruses but autoimmune hepatitis is not caused by a virus. Instead, for whatever reason, the immune system begins attacking the person's own liver. Autoimmune hepatitis is not cancer and would lead to cancer only rarely as compared with viral hepatitis. However it is possible to have both viral and autoimmune hepatitis. I am sure your Dr will have already tested for this possibility.

Autoimmune hepatitis is usually treated with a corticosteroid type drug like prednisone along with a good diet and usually responds quickly as long as alcohol abuse or other drug problems are not part of the liver problem. Here is a good web page to read up on autoimmune hepatitis. good luck

No it is not a cancer. I had a very chronic case of this which in the end I had to have a liver transplant. It is a virus that attacks the liver.

If it doesnt get to the chronic stage it can be treated before you need surgery. (Drugs and a change of lifestyle may be necessary)

It is wise to see a doctor and they will do some tests.

Without medical treatment it may be a life threating illness.

Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver. It can progress to liver cirrhosis. I don't think it's cancer, unless they have told you that you have liver cancer.
