The secrificed son of Abraham was Esmail or Isaac?

it was Esmail( about to but didn't ) - Am Muslim and we have that story in our HOLY BOOK - QURAAN

Ishmael was the firstborn, but not the child of the promise of God. By the time that God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, Hagar and Ishmael were long gone, having been taken into the wilderness. Thus for all intents and purposes, Isaac was the only son of Abraham left. If you read further, you will find that Hagar laid Ishmael under a bush and moved away from him so she wouldn't have to see him die in the desert. This indicates that Ishmael, at the time, was still rather small. If you read the description of the sacrificial trip up the mountain, the son speaks in such a way that proves he is older than an infant that needs to be carried. So, it couldn't have been Ishamel.

God was going to sacrifice Isaac-the child of promise. Ishmael was not the child of promise. Muslims don't want to believe this, but this is the truth. To this day, they are jealous and that is where the trouble lies. They even put a Golden Dome, Al Aqsa Mosque, in Jerusalem on the site where Abraham was going to slay Isaac-Mt. Moriah. This is where they say Mohammad ascended to Heaven. What a coincidence! Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet and not the Savior, thus they die in their sins. I pray they will see the truth from God and not believe the lie from Satan.

READ CAREFULLY ON THIS BIBLE VERSE

Gen 22:1 After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here am I."

Gen 22:2 He said, "Take your son, YOUR ONLY SON ISAAC, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

I want to ask them whether that verse are genuine or HAVE BEEN CHANGED?!?

you can see that that verse stated " take your son, YOUR ONLY SON ISAAC..."

why GOD the almighty and All-Knowing have to state "your only son Isaac" in this verse?? and from your point of view, didn't this words seem like someone made up with that?? its like a reverse psychology..

do you get my point? for me its kinda weird, its like there was something not true or hidden or can be said SOMEONE has mess up with the words of god ...

example like you have bought a harry potter book but someone said to other that you have bought a narnia story book instead of harry potter book..

That is one of those questions that sadly will never be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. The Muslims will say according to the Quran that it was Ishmael whom Abraham was about to sacrifice on the command of Allah and the Jews will say it was Isaac? I believe that Abraham loved them equally so maybe God asked him to sacrifice both of them at different times to prove his devotion.

It was Issac that Abraham was supposed to sacrifice, however, God provided a ram in the thicket, and after Abraham proved that he would obey God and sacrifice his son on command, God halted him and instructed him to sacrifice the animal instead. This was a foretelling of Christ's being a sacrifice for mankind's sin. We were to die at the hand of the Father, but Jesus took our punishment in our place, and we can live forever with the Father in Heaven because the sacrifice was worthy to pay for our sins! Good question!

both were not sacrificed Abraham's son was Issac. God wanted to check Abraham's faithfulness in him

so he asked Abraham to sacrifice his son as he said he took Issac and went to the hill but he did not sacrifice

because God doesn't want to do that

Abraham was age 75, to get the Promised Land covenant, yr 2083, 427 yrs after flood, Isaac was born when Abraham was age 100, Gen.21:5; Isaac was age 5 and Ishmael was age 19, when Ishmael left and made his life good, Isaac had the burden of living up to being the Promised Land heir,

and at age 25, he was a near sacrifice, he and Abraham loved and trusted God. Isaac was age 40 when he married Rebeka and age 60 when Jacob and Esau were born. They were age 15, Isaac was age 75, and Ishmael was age 89, when they buried Abraham, 527 years after flood, yr 2183, 1883 BC.

Isaac was age 180 at death Gen.35:28,29; 632 yrs after flood, yr 2288.

Jacob was age 130, Gen.46:26; 47:9,11; 642 yrs after flood, 215 yrs after Abraham's covenant, 70 in the family placed in Rameses Egypt by Joseph, llth son of Jacob, who was governor over Egypt from age 30 [ he was age 17 when sold by his older brothers, he was in prison 13 yrs ], he was governor at 10th yr, he was age 40, to bring his family into Rameses Egypt. Jacob was there 17 years to death, 659 yrs after flood, yr 2315. Joseph was age 57 when Jacob died.

Issac was the one who was taken up to be sacrficed but God caused a ram to be catch in a shrub and asked Abraham to sacrafice it instead.
