can using other AC adaptors break a PSP/battery?
I've been using my SW/limited light PSP w/other adaptors & all seems OK until now. I may try a new battery but could there be bigger problems with it like the power system got damaged?

I would think that as long as you keep the voltages the same, you should be fine. (The voltage is located above the DC input on your PSP and on the AC adapter under "output")

Yes. Power adapters often have different voltage and amperage provided. The way to check is, on your PSP I suspect you have a voltage/amp rating right by the place where you plug in the power cord. Make sure that this matches the adapter you are plugging in. I'm not absolutely sure you have the same model PSP (if there are new models) but this site I've provided provides what "may" be your PSP's required power. Again I would suggest you double check your model right by the voltage input to see if you have the same..... Good Luck. I hope it still works.
