does leaving a charger in laptop erode the battery?
does leaving a charger in laptop erode the battery over time? I've been warned it does by my dad (i don't think he really knows if it does or not though). My laptop only has about a two hour battery life, now (i've had it about 3 weeks) i'm worried about leaving on charge while i sleep incase it does decrese performance. can anyone help?

a battery that has a charge will corrode over time. I think only water will erode anything.

The truth is, you really should only charge the battery and, then disconnect the charger from the laptop.
If you feel you must be hooked to AC, then remove the battery from the laptop after it's fully charged. Just don't forget to pop it in every once in a while to charge it back up.
I feel you're better served by using the battery all the time without the charger plugged in.
