Action against dealer?
I bought a Ninja 250 from a dealer here and it was a complete nightmare. The whole thing was a disaster from the beggining. I want to protect myself in case the bike breaks so I was wondering short of a lawsuit if there were any options. The Kawasaki website doesnt look like it has anything. Most of the dealers where I live are shady and if I take my bike to a dealer for service where I didn't buy it I am afraid they will make things worse

You can't take action until a wrong is done --- if nothing has happened, then you can't take any legal action.
What do you mean when you say it was "a complete nightmare". If you are talking about your experience with the dealer, then you should have walked out at the first sign of this "nightmare".
Generally, there is a warranty on new bikes through Kawasaki. So, if you bought a new bike, then you are covered by this warranty. Here is Kawasaki's warranty: http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/Warranty.aspx#Str...

looks like this aint just a harley thang. short of torchin the place, lawsuit, or just pimp slappin em, mount a word-of-mouth campaign against them + get a letter writing campaign to the moco also. might take awhile, but eventually, the moco will have to do some sniffin around. the web can be a very powerful tool, but u had best be able to back it up or they'll hit ya with slander/libel if it isnt true.
u could shake the state att. general's tree and see what falls out.
dude, u could take the scoot to any kawa dealer for service....a factory warrenty is a factory warrenty. its valid at any kawa dealer. at times, even the threat of a suit is enough to get things done. having a lawyer serve notice of intent to sue might change their tune. but u also need to have the balls to back it up, or they'll laugh u outta town be sure. if they are as shady as u say, dont be a puss....hit em where it hurts; in the sales dept. a dealer that cant sell bikes wont be in business long, and the more peeps know they're shady, the sooner they might wind up shut down.

Did you buy the bike brand new and what kind of problems are you having. I would start by calling Kawasaki Consumer Services at 949-460-5688 and discussing your situation with them.

Good evening.
I would ask some of my fellow riders where they get there bike serviced. If you get positive feedback pertaining to certain service shops, I would be more inclined to use their experience with them as a determing factor.
