Dirty Sexy Money...anyone?

The brief case had papers about some guy in them. Tripp told Nick that if someone killed his father, that was the guy he should look into further. Basically the episode was about the family getting their portrait taken for Patrick's upcoming campaign. Patrick told his father that he didn't want to run, which of course Tripp tried talking him out of despite his mom agreeing that he shouldn't run if he didn't want to. Ultimately, Patrick's "girlfriend" convinced him to run and show his dad what he could do. Brian dropped his son off at Nick's office and told him to get rid of him, but Nick found out his mother took off out of the country. He told Brian that he needs to take responsibility for him and at the end of the episode, Brian is taking him home and explains that eventually he'll tell his wife and kids the truth. Nick stole Tripp's journal after Letitia tells him that if Tripp was involved in Nick's dad's death, it would be in there. Nick ends up admitting in front of the whole family he stole the journal because he's looking into his father's murder and wants to know if Tripp is involved. Tripp speaks with him and denies any involvement and reveals that he knew about the affair between Letitia and Nick's dad all along.

Nick tries to fix things when the Darlings are blackmailed over a sex tape starring a family member. Patrick is upset over being forced to end things with Carmelita. Brian's wife gets suspicious over the Swedish orphan he brought home. Jeremy tries to keep it quiet about him and Natalie, but when they all show up at a fundraiser for Patrick things get out of control.
