am i too "fat"?

if i look at myself in the mirror i am really unsatisfied, because i think i'm too fat. i'm 13 years old, 164 cm tall and 51 (!) kg heavy!!! thats not normal anymore is it?

maybe you could also give me tips how to loose weight...!?

i don't only worry about my weight. i mean if i look at myself the only thing i can see is a fat (and ugly) girl. i have been doing about 50 sit-ups every morning. my tummy muscles have developed, but my tummy hasn't lost "size". iit looks a bit like this:

    Oh, you are NOT fat! My my rough conversions, you're about 5'5" and 100 lbs... that's actually at the low end of the average weight scale for your height, not to mention the fact that you're still maturing. Really, to a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.

    As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

    That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more.

    You are not fat! Your BMI is about 19 which is at the lower end of the normal range. You are slim and shouldn't be trying to lose weight otherwise you'd end up underweight, which can have serious implications for your health, especially as at 13 years old you probably have some growing still to do.

    Please try not to worry about your weight. The most important thing is to be healthy and happy and to get the most out of your school days.

    You are quite tall for your age and from the details you have given, from what I can work out your BMI is only 19.5. I'm not sure if you calculate it differently for children but 19.5 is on the lower end of healthy, i.e you are not fat in the slightest.

    Please try not to worry about this. You are not fat. It's a shame that so many young girls are made to feel bad about themselves, there is so much pressure these days. Don't let it get you down though and please don't try and lose weight, you are perfect the way you are.

    51 kg? are you mad??? how come you think you are fat? if you really do you really have a problem!!! I think you are even underweight!I'm as tall as you and I weight a few kilos more than you and I'm not chubby at all! In fact I almost have no body fat and I'm always feeling cold!! Don't be silly, you don't need to lose weight

    exercise is the only real way to lose weight, you can try every diet known to man but unless you are prepared to exercise they will have no affect. I hope you can find an activity that you like and enjoy. if you feel that you struggle with your weight talk to your doctor, they will be able to help you.

    well 51 kg is 8 stone i weigh the same and im 14 and im like the smallest boy in my year ther are people in year 9 n below taller than me too and im 166 cm

I do not believe you need to lose weight or attempt dieting without your doctor's supervision. At your age, it can be extremely dangerous.     That's flipping skinny. I weigh about the same as you and im only 150 cm (roughly).

    Either way, ur gonna keep growing. So eat what u want, and worry later.

    at 13 i wouldnt worry about it. your body is still developing and need energy dont try diets until your in your 20s.

    if it bothers you talk to your mum ask her to take you to doctors they can put you intouch with people who wiil put you on special diet dont do it on your own
