Which of all the Loch's in Scotland is the highest above sea level ?

Loch Etchachan is the highest in the UK at over 3,000ft above sea level.

I admit I cheated and searched for this one. It's called Loch Enoch, Dumfries and Galloway.

Of course, I know well enough from my climbing that there's wee puddles on and around every mountain in Scotland, some of which are both big enough and called lochs or the smaller version lochan. But that's the only name I could find specifically called the highest.

Polo has answered you correct, its Loch Etchachan, its in the Cairngorms National Park. The fishing is for trout, but im not certain how good that is these days.
