Is it only me who gets mad every time,?
when a performer is singing on a TV programme, the audience goes wild with the clapping, almost drowning out the singer or band
EDIT
How the heck did my question get into comedy. I put it in entertainment.
Now, I'm madder than ever, so rubber room here I come.

yes its not needed if they wanna clap n all they should do it at the end god i sound like my granny but an audience should have a bit of decorum its a lot of work to put in a performance like that without feelin like u hafta drown out the audience.
and if it makes u feel any better my questions always end up in the wrong place

No, not at all. I don't watch TV to begin with and I sure am not interested in watching music on TV.
I know what you mean though. I used to deliberately turn microphones on the audiance at times to make it much louder than it really is. I hate it but then there are ways of working a crowd for the most financial benefit. That histarai that happens arund some stars is promoted and people are hired to get it started. The young can be convinced a band ir singer is good when they actually are very [
poor.

Yes, but that is the reason people go to live shows. There is nothing like seeing someone live, hearing the band, and just getting into the whole spirit of the thing. Beats being a couch potato and watching it on TV.

Me too . Years ago i went to the city hall in Newcastle to see the walker brothers. the silly folk were screaming so loud all the way through the concert, it was a waste of time being there.. Englebert humperdink was also on and he walked off the stage b ecause when he was singing they were still chanting Scott

It's only a television programme!
If you go mad you will be sent to live in a rubber room!
Why not do something more interesting instead?

I can understand your feelings, cos i feel the same way whenever such a thing happens.. I'm almost on the verge of crying out loud to them to stop that and let me enjoy the performance!!!

no - because the clapping etc is usually at the appropriate moment and it shows appreciation and adds 'feeling' to the performance and atmosphere
