Do Tattoos on the top of feet have significance, apart from the actual tattoo?
MY thought in asking was maybe the ease of covering in many settings that it may be needed? I dunno

Mine signifies a friendship that I had but overall, it was just a preference of location. I didn't want it on the ankle so I put it on the top of my foot. AND YES, IT HURT!!

there isnt a tattoo out there that has a specific area with a specific significance, its just the persons preference, or it may have significance to that particular person, but not a "general public" type of thing. if that makes sense. mine on my foot has a significant value, but that is the tattoo in itself, not the location, same with the one on my back. i know both are there, i can show them off it i want to, but other than that in the professional field, ive got to be able to cover them up

Mine didn't any particular significance. I just got mine yesterday. I think it's all a personal preference.

no. i have both of my feet tattooed and it is for no reason other than that they were there and looked like they needed a little bit of decoration.
