They should get along just fine as long as your "Jorkie" doesn't mind getting body slammed and Boxed every once in a while. LOL! When i got my Boxer when she was 12 weeks old we already had a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel Mix and a 3 year old American Bulldog. They all got along fine. The Cocker was a little jealous for the first month and would growl at her every so often but after they got used to living together they were all friends. Just keep in mind that Boxer's act like puppies until they're at least 3 years old. That's when they finally settle down not being so hyper and will be more like a couch potato. Boxer's love to Play, Play, and play some more. LOL!

Depends ... usually, an older dog will dominate a younger dog. Which, in most cases, is a good thing! The older dog will teach the puppy some manners, and also the pup will learn its place in the "pack" (the family).

Are the terrier-mix and the boxer the same or opposite sex? That might be a deciding factor, since opposite-sex dogs usually accept each other more easily than those of the same sex.

There will probably be a period of adjustment, but dogs are pretty good at working things out on their own. Just make sure they're supervised when they're introduced and for awhile afterward until you know that the older dog has accepted the puppy ... and things should be just fine. Good Luck!

I don't see why they wouldn't get along. Your

(jorkie) cute;) will have a wonderful playmate. Just keep the roughhousing down as the boxer will always be bigger, but the jorkie will defend the Alpha role.

Have fun with the little ones.

How does your Jack Russell mix react to other dogs before? You are talking about a very hyper dog and you have a mix with another hyper dog.

3 years old might bully the puppy if that dog is too possessive and be a dominant member of the family.

I would take the dogs and have them interact before you buy them. We have a border collie and a really big dominate lab. we can't even let them outside at the same time and it is a pain in the *** because they don't play which equals more walking and walking separately. #1 I would buy from a breeder not a pet store and #2 they are usually very caring and want you to see if the dogs get along by bringing them.

Buy from a responsible breeder. No pet shops and no puppy mills. Demand to see both parents and the dog's living conditions. Research. Bring your dog to meet the parents and puppies.

There is no reason they won't provided you are the master of the house and your older dog is properly trained and socialized. If your older dog is aggressive at all toward other dogs, I'd start working on eliminating that now before you add another dog into the mix, but if he/she is pretty easy going then you shouldn't have a problem.

They will be fine. Just treat them equally like pet food, feed them seperately so they won't fight over the food

when you go to get your boxer, ask them
