Science has proven that the Torah has a hidden code, what do you think of the Bible code ?
I am certain that it is the words of God, hidden in the word of God. But what do you think ?

Hello, WBJF:
Some of the arguments used in responses were met in Drosnin's second edition. He was originally accused of word manipulation, and that is what they did with Moby Dick..., but Drosnin explains how carefully they were to avoid manipulation, by using encyclopedia words and statements, etc.
In that edition, Drosnin tells how the code reveals another code is hidden on two sapphire obelisks (monuments), and that code will identify your Creator, the author of your DNA, with Adam as the original or template... ect.
That code, hidden in the ten-commandments, is revealed at www.revelado.org/revealed.htm. And it not only proves Jesus is your Creator, but the Messiah who abolished the Jewish sacrificial system through His death.
Shalom, peace in Jesus, Ben Yeshua

Why do we have to bother with hidden codes in the Word of God when what is God's will is clearly and unequivocally written? Let us not be like the gnostics who prided themselves on their esoteric knowledge which only a few could understand and grasp. The gospel and the Bible is easily understood by anyone who can read. Like the apostle Paul told King Agrippa even at that time: "these things were not done in a corner" - meaning there were no secrets involved. Even the Lord told the High Priest in John 18:20 "in secret I have said nothing". If we were to look for hidden in codes in the Bible the Lord would have told us to look for them but He didn't so what has a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ to do with hidden codes? NOTHING. I would advise you to stay away from such speculations - its a waste of time - and get on with obeying the commands of the Lord so clearly given.

This is what I put down for a similar question:
No input but thoughts...why would an all knowing and loving God make a formula (code) hidden within His own word that only "nerds", I mean "scientist" will be able to de-code that will predict the future-
When the bible is laid out plain and simple...Believe, Repent and Love (I know there's more, but for space purposes I just put down the real important ones)??
just my thoughts...

For every scientist that claims to prove a code in the Torah or the Bible, there is at lest one who can show otherwise. So I do not believe in these codes. I think that one should read the scriptures and pray that God show you his will and His goal for you life. That not everything the Bible says is literal yet it like the Torah hold much historical fact. This has been shown time and time again. Even history professors are using it as a way to look at ancient cultures, laws, and so on.

The Bible had a code, but after 1500 years of translation and interpretation that code has faded away. The Old Testament in Hebrew (which is basically the Torah) does have a code to it. The New Testament not so much.

who's claiming that God wrote the Bible? In 34 years I certainly have by no skill heard this way of declare. no one guy or lady wrote the finished ingredient... Moses is the meant author of the 1st 5 books of the previous testomony. some adult adult males named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote the 1st of the recent testomony. many diverse books of the NT are letters from St Paul or others to diverse cities giving suggestion, etc. Or are you in user-friendly terms attempting to commence controversy?

I wish it had not been made public.
I wouldn't doubt that those who run things on our planet have taken the technology from the Jews who invented the computer programs that read these codes, and are trying to use it for very bad endings for the world.

God had the bible written for instruction.....he wanted it to be understood.
If you look hard enough you can find anything you want.
I think they should read all the words and find out what God expects in their lives and act accordingly and stop searching for trivial things.
Satan sends us on wild goose chases to keep us from doing God's will.
His will is that we go and tell everyone about the kingdom soon to come on earth as it is in heaven.

My honest, professional opinion as a mathematician is...
I think "The Bible Code" is absolutely BOGUS.
To sum it up as best I can in layman's terms: the "Bible Code" book claims that by looking at the letters that make up the words of the Bible, and using a "skip code" so that you look at certain blocks of letters vertically and diagonally, you can come up with all these incredible "predictions", namely the names of related people and places from various historical events. For example, you line up the letters in a special way, skip 5 letters at a time in a certain direction, and get "LINCOLN" one way and "BOOTH" another way.
It sounds impressive at first, but this is just another example of starting with a pre-conceived conclusion (the names and places you want to look for) and then playing around with the math long enough until you get something that matches what you like. There is nothing incredible about this. If you play around with calculations of ANY sets of numbers long enough, you can make it point to whatever you want.
The author of the "Bible Code" book (who oddly enough isn't really religious himself) claimed that if somebody could do this with a book like Moby Dick, he'd reconsider. Well, guess what. Somebody DID apply the same rules to Moby Dick and got several "predictions". Here's the link where they did it:
http://cs.anu.edu.au/~bdm/dilugim/moby.html
And since you can obviously do this with books other than the Bible, the whole "Bible Code" theory is debunked, because it rests on the assumption that there's something extra special about the Bible in this numerological regard. There isn't. Honestly, I can't believe there are still people who buy into this.

I don't really know what to believe about it. I'd have to know more to make a decision.
Like how do they find these hidden words?
