how do I tell my doctors I might be further along in my pregnancy?

my LMP started on 2-18-07 , I should have ovulated on or around March 3-4th insteadt I had implantion type spotting on March 3rd ... So I''m thinking i'm about 2 weeks ahead of my due date according to my LMP date...

I told my doctor but he doesn't seemed worried.

I am because I'm currantly 29 weeks measuring 33 weeks, my c-section is set for Nov. 23rd my due date according to them is Nov. 25th ( I'm thinking more like the 11th)

if I would happen to go past the baby's real date and they do keep me until 23rd I think he's gonna be way to big and past due... my doctor already said she'd exspect a 10 lb. baby!!

( also I took a test in Jan. and it was Neg. so I know I'm not really 33 weeks)

I would get another ultrasound and tell them your concerns. They are usually pretty accurate about the size and everything and can give you a good estimate.

There's nothing wrong with being concerned and asking questions and everything.

Why are you having a c-section, if you don't mind me asking? I had 2, but I was just wondering with you.

well if the doctors say you are 29 weeks> and an ultrasound was done then they should know.

they not only go by your LMP but also by the ultrasound. they measure the babys stomach head arms etc and with that they can give you a different date.

so i think you are panicking and you shouldnt be because the doctors know. dont think they overlooked..... im positive they measured right.

if you are due by chance when you think you are (11th)

then your baby should come when on its own... and considering that you are having a big baby they will stop the contractions and do a c-section.....

P.S thats why you start going every week> they will check you and make sure you are okay and that things are running smoothly.

    GOOD LUCK

    1. Measurements don't mean that much.

    2. Odds are if your actual date is Nov. 11 (which means you ovulated when your period started?-or are you thinking that was not a real period?), your body will never go 12 days past the due date.

    3. Your doctor will see if your baby is getting too big, they will do a stress test to make sure everything is OK and move your dates.

Better overcooked than undercooked, as they say!

Ok JeNe don't worry hon.I was miscalculated on my due date with my son too.I don't know if this is your first pregnancy or not so let me give you a rundown of some facts-pregnancy isn't measured in regular weeks or months. It is measured in lunar months and weeks so at the end of pregnancy you should be technically 40 weeks pregnant.A full term pregnancy is actually 10 months pregnant. So the reason your doctor may not be worried is that you may not have been fully informed or may not have totally understood what he was saying. Also a 10lb baby is more than viable early or not due to the fact your baby will be fully formed and ready for the world.

If you are due before your c-section, you could always try pushing it out when the baby decides its time....

It can be that you ovulated very early in your cycle, and so implanted a week earlier, but they still count from the first day of your last menstrual period.

If you have ANY concerns at all, you should talk to your doc/obgyn as they are service providers, they are there to work on your health WITH you, not inspite of you. You're the customer, they are the shop assistant.

with a c-section it wont matter how big the baby is as she would be removed from your tummy directly.

you are now 28 weeks and 5 days preg and due date is 25th nov give or take 2 weeks so your doc is still about right.

if ur baby gets tired in there trust me she will try to get out sooner!

    good luck

Dont get hung up on dates! If the child is born late, it's not because of the doctor's prediction, its because the child is not ready to be born. As long as the pregnancy is going well, dont worry about the actual date. The child will come when they are ready, even if the doctor is not. C-sects can happen at anytime of the day or night.

I think as long as you've already expressed your concerns and as long as you get monitored regularly there is no problem. They have a realy good inidaction, and they will not let you go way past due.(Besides you whould then go into labour and stil would need the emergency c- section) Trust your doctors. And Good Luck with your BIG baby!! :)

tell your dr what you think cuz going past your due date is not good the baby can be in distress and since your having a csection if you go into labor your cut from previous csection can rip open with my first baby i wen=t 2 cdays past my due date and they gave me a emergency c section cuz its not safe for the baby and im pregnant again and im due feb 11 and my c section is going to be in january 15 so yours should be alot sooner that is not safe

I think your dr is the best one to judge when you need to deliver..Do not worry if they feel that baby has grown enough & its time to deliver then they will operate you earlier...

dont be anxious...Good Luck to you ..
