Did you use a doula?
I would like to become a doula and I've been thinking about taking up some classes to become one... since I'm 24 and have already been to 8 births other than the birth of my sons.
I love watching a new life coming into this world and I like to help the laboring mother weather it be a foot massage, a word of encouragment or a suggestion that could help her...
I've also coached 3 of those ladies in breastfeeding...
it's just very natural to me and I thing I'd be good at it..
hav you used a doula? would you ever?

If you feel the draw toward it, then go for it! I have been a doula for 4 years and have been priviledged to help some wonderful families. I don't make very much money doing it because I want to be affordable to more families, so it is more of a hobby for me. But it has been extremely rewarding.
Anyway, it sounds like you have a talent for it. There are a few organizations that certify doulas. I am DONA.org certified, ALACE also certifies as well as a few others.
