Is there a catch to these Florida condo seminars in which you are offered a low-price trip?
It sounds a bit too good to be true....What are you obligated to do besides go to the seminar(s)?Any info would help...personal experiences and/or websites would be appreciated. Thanks

The catch to all of this that you have to put up with two or even three hours of sales pitches by the time share company. After that, you will be bombarded by high pressure sales tactics. If you say you can't afford one price, they will show you a less expensive series and never stop.
Be firm, say no. Walk out with your gift or certificate for what ever you are getting. Timeshares are a complete waste of time anyway. You will find that in 99% of the time, you are unable to use the days you need and the places you want.
You will find that you have been duped into buying a worthless piece of junk !
Suggestion: plan your own vacation and pay for it. You might spend a little more, but you won't be put through the ringer as I have been.
I went through one of these timeshare sales pitches and actually bought a property. You know what? I had it for three years, kept paying the mortgage on it, and could not use the days nad times where we wanted for all of those times!
I was stuck with that worthless piece of property until I got some legal advice and was able to return the timeshare to the company.
Please don't get sucked into these timeshare presentations.
They are worthless and will only give you headaches!

Once my wife and I were taking a trip to a spot on the east coast of Florida to look at some property. She tried for two days to get us a room in the area we were interested in with no luck. We stopped at a gas station for a fill up and ran into someone working there that also worked for a company selling time shares in condos that hadn't been completed yet.
She told us she could get us two nights in a local motel for free if we would agree to attend a thirty minute seminar for the time share program.
We agreed, got the room (not a very good one), finished our business we went there for and went to the seminar. Had a nice meal and spent and hour totally deflating one of the nicest salesman I had ever met because he just wasn't going to get us into one of those units.
This was back in late 2002. In Aug/Sept of 2004 hurricane Francis totally destroyed the place.
I often wondered what may have happened to that nice young fellow

Yes, the catch is you have to put up with a 90 to 120 minute time share tour. If you can put up with it (try to plan it early in the day) then do it. I have had 2 all expense paid trips with Sea World or universal tickets included and had a great time. The only thing we paid for was a car rental and food.

They will try to sell you the time share or vacation product. It is a hard sell and the offers 'seem" quite attractive. However, people get sucked in easily since they want so little money down and promise so much.
There are good time share deals for the right people, but always "buyer beware." When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!
Pay your own way down and enjoy a vacation.

After you attend the seminar, you are then bombarded by high pressure sales persons trying to sell you a time share. You have to be really firm because they make it sound like a great deal, when in fact you are getting scre**d to death. Don't let them talk you into signing anything,

I know people that have done it and they just have to go through the seminars, tour the condos, listen to the sales pitch, talk to the salesman, and all that garb... personally, I don't need a vacation that bad. Either I can afford a hotel room or a can't. It's that simple.
