I have the second pick and cant decide... S Jackson,S Alexander, F Gore, or Larry Johnson?
Larry Johnson is a recent signing and prolly will be limited in first game... Shaun Alexander is always solid but there seems to be questions surrounding him.... So Stephen Jackson and Frank Gore seem to be the choices at #2
Thanks all... Iam still reading all and trying to decide... now thinking bout #23 and #26... double up on Wr in a 3 WR league? Won league last year cause everyone went RB and I didnt take one til round 5....(Payton and 3 WR)

I agree with not putting LJ in at second. Alexander seems appealing to me and the guy was the MVP two years ago, but there are a ton of questions surrounding Seattle's offense as a whole. I found a thread on a site called FantasyFanatics.com about Seattle's discussion, which should help you break it down a bit:

For my money, I'd go with Jackson. He had 800 receiving yards last year and plays on an offense that can easily move the ball. Holt and Bruce draw a lot of attention away from Jackson as well and he plays on fast turf eight times a year. Select Jackson second.

The only two possible choices here are Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson. The argument for LJ is that he is proven, was the 2nd best fantasy RB in most leagues last year, and is the Chiefs only option and thus will approach 400 carries and carry the team on his back. The argument for SJax is that it seems like the skies the limit for him (leader in yards from scrimmage last year). He has no o-line problems (gets pace back) and has a top-tier offense around him. The question here is not who is the better back (because I personally think that LJ is better) it is who is in the best position to deliver the most fantasy pts come Sunday. While it is possible that LJ will produce better than SJax, he is more prone to having a sharp decline from last year, while Jackson has a higher probability of improving. Therefore, you should take Steven Jackson with the 2nd pick in the draft.
Remember "you can not win the championship on draft day, but you can certainly lose it."
Hope this helps and Good Luck.
P.S. There are questions surrounding LJ, Gore, and Alexander, but none around Jackson.

Wow. You really need to be careful about who you listen to on some of these questions. Shaun Alexander is injury prone? The six games he missed last season were the first six he missed in his seven year career. Hardly injury prone. And before his "one fluke year" when he had 1880 yards rushing he preceded that with 1696 and 1435, and was better than 1000 the two years before that as well...
Still, he's aging and on the downside. Stephen Jackson seems to be the consensus number two for most people. I have some concerns about him, mainly that he racked up a huge amount of his touchdown and yardage totals in the last three or four games last season. But his coaches seem to realize his capabilities and will probably only build on that finish.
Gore, Addai, Jackson, R. Johnson, Parker, Westbrook and Alexander are good choices for picks 3-8 or 9, but your best bet at number two is probably Jackson.
Good luck.

Steven Jackson hands down becuase he catches passes and can run the ball very well. Steven Jackson also has a better back up which will keep him more fresh as it gets later into the season. Frank Gore is just coming back from an injury and he is the 49ers offense and will wear down towards the end. You can't really go wrong with either but I believe Steven Jackson is the #2 back. Don't stress on this pick (Jackson or Gore will bring production) and focus on getting a good back in the secong round. Since you'll be drafting late in the 2nd round. Look for Willis McGahee, Edgerrin James in the 2nd round or you can wait and hope that Duece, Brandon Jacobs, or Marion Barber drops into the 3-4 round. Good luck.

Steven Jackson will be the best fantasy running back next season. He has the speed of a sprinter and the size of a power back. Great hands out of the backfield as well. Look for him to run for over 15 hundred yards and 15 touchdowns and add 500 recieving yards and 5 touchdowns.
Alexander is past his prime, Gore is a yardage monster but scores less than you would like, and Larry Johnson could break down with no help around him.

Frank Gore is the second best avaliable running back! He had two major injuries too his knees in college, he broke his hand in a fluke injury but he'll be ready for the first game. Frank Gore offers everyrthing that Stephen Jackson offers and more. He has the speed and the ability to score anytime he receives the ball! Shaun Alexander has never been solid except for his one fluke year! He's injury proned and fumbles way too much. Stephen Jackson is decent but Gore has more of the intangibles, and Larry Johnson who knows what kind of shape he is in from his hold out? Gore is the way too go!

Stephen Jackson should be the 2 pick. Theres no arguement. Frank Gore is a good pick at 3 or 4 but not at 2.

Frank Gore. He had a breakout season final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on a collection without passing interest and no protection. This 3 hundred and sixty 5 days they have fastened those issues and which will enable him to get extra contains, meaning extra yards and extra TD's. Shaun Alexander. 2 years in the past he had his perfect season. throughout that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days he had a extensive majority of his yards/TD's while he ran to the left. throughout that off season Sea traded between the perfect left Guards interior the interest, Hutchinson, to Min. the subsequent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days he got here lower back no longer having the flexibility to run to the left and he did no longer do very sturdy. Larry Johnson. final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days became into his perfect 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. He took an excellent variety of contains that gave him an excellent variety of yards, regardless of his no longer so great yards consistent with carry everyday. He set a checklist in variety of contains final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days witch could be a toughness subject for this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, yet i do no longer think of it incredibly is going to likely be the case. His group misplaced their QB throughout the off season and with the two one among there backups doing unfavorable so a methods, their offense is purely no longer on the sector that long. this capacity he won't get as many contains and not as many yards. i could pass with Frank Gore.

Steven Jackson without a doubt. As to your 2nd and 3rd round picks it all depends on how the draft goes. If all but two or three pick RBs then it is a good idea to go a different direction (most of these teams will not pick there 3rd RB this early, so most of the available RBs will still be around in the 4th or 5th rounds). I had the 4th pick in a draft and ended up getting Steve Smith and T. Owens in the 2nd and 3rd rounds because all but one (P. Manning) owner before my 2nd pick took RBs

definately pick stephen jackson. theres no doubt about it. he had more all-purpose yards that anyone else, including reggie bush and LT. shaun alexander is getting older and though his stats will improve from last season, he wont be having a great year. larry johnson is falling on everyones lists because of his o-line and because their QB is unpredictable. frank gore is nice but he just injured his hand. that souldnt effect him, but even so, hes not as good as SJ.
