You have to be connected on the internet, of you are go to settings and go to WiiConnect24. Agree to the terms and that should work.

When you first set your Wii up, you have to go through the process through WiiConnect24. You obviously have to have internet in your house... wireless internet is better. You'll have to find your internet connection, put in the WEP (which is on your router), and connect. Once you gain a connection, you can access the Wii Shopping Channel and download a whole bunch of good stuff. Everything except for the Wii Voting Channel costs points. Enjoy!

Switch on the Wii and click on shopping channel. Follow the instructions. By the way, you must have the Wii connected to an existing broadband connection.
