If Rosa Parks was a muslim? ( of course i know she wasnt)?

Question

Ok if Rosa Parks was a muslim....why would she have been on the bus?  Why do muslim men go on and on about their rights, but they often neglect their responsibilities.  If as a muslim a man believes he is the 'guardian' of a woman, whether it be physical, financial or spirtual, then why are so many sisters having to take the bus?  Why are we as muslim men failing to provide for our wives, mother's and sisters so often?

i think the low economical status nowadays makes this happen. I have once read a survey mentioning that more than 40% of the families in Egypt have the woman as their financial provider. and they have to do this because of different reasons, their men jailed, dead, not enough income, unresponsible men as you said, etc..

This is quite a good question.  I think that the condition of which you speak depends a good deal on which country you're in, for example, in Turkey, women are treated quite well by their men and are entirely different in their attitudes than in Saudi Arablia.

I can't speak for Muslim men in general but can say that I've met many who do not abide by the standards that you've criticized.  

Perhaps the Muslim women just have to speak up and not allow their men to treat them that way, or, on the other hand, men need to grow up a little and realize that a partner is an equal, not a slave.

If Rosa Parks was a muslim and became civil-rights activist while she was arrested for not giving a seat in 1955... hmm...

I wouldn't made that much of difference... But ONLY IF She had different education...

She learned in private school ( Montgomery Industrial School for Girls) that was founded by liberal-minded women... 

If Muslims have more liberal-minded education... ONLY then would be things different...

Every one has his own conditions, we can't just judge men for letting their women work
What about the other married women that go to their jobs by their cars are they included in this question????
