Wie kann ich besser Deutsch lernen und sprechen?

Am besten Du hörst deutsche Hörbücher beim Autofahren. Erstmal einfache Kurzgeschichten oder 'Kinderbücher', dann langsam steigern. Deutsche Filme und Bücher lesen bringt es auch.

Well, I reckon it shares so much with English vocabulary it's fairly easy to follow, and should be easy enough to learn. And the grammar, and habit of joining words to make a new one, is so much simpler and more logical than English it should be a breeze too. So the best trick could be a few months in Germany, or sharing a house with Deutsch sprekens (close enough?) Of course, ich bin Australie mit nein Deutscherin grossmutter er grossfader. So what would I know? English and hand-signs got me lazily wherever - including hours of conversation with people who had no English at all. English has been such a voracious vacuum cleaner language it contains roots leading everywhere - except perhaps Asia. It's a pity most English-speakers don't learn it these days, I reckon. But every language opens a different world, doesn't it! Good luck.

How old are you?

When you are younger than 18, you can fly with an organisation to Germany. There you get an hostfamily in which you can (or have to ;-) ) speak German every day. When you go there more than one month, you'll learn German faster than you think. And of course after that you can think in German.

If you are older, you can go to Germany as an Au Pair. You should have to watch for the children.

my family's german too. they're originally from niedersachsen. snakt wi plattdutsch. i come from a tiny little town in missouri where most of the 1000 people have german ancestry. the old folks still speak an american dialect of low german, with english mixed in here and there. as far as i know, it's not spoken anywhere else. it's called ''cole camp platt.'' it saddens me that the dialect is dying out, but there has been a sort of rennaiscance over the past ten years or so in the town, and people are working hard to preserve our form of platt.

Ich würde mir DVD's kaufen, auf denen man Deutsch als Sprache und Englisch als Untertitel einstellen kann. Das scheint mir sehr gut zu sein zum Lernen. Ansonsten gibt es auch im Internet Möglichkeiten zum hören und sprechen.
