Yes, they did.

But lizards did NOT evolve from dinosaurs -- they are related, but not that closely, and there were plenty of lizards around at the same time as dinosaurs -- even the earliest snakes known are from about 130 million years ago, over 65 million years before the dinosaurs died out. It's birds that evolved from early dinosaurs, not lizards. Lizards evolved from earlier lizardy things, and so did dinosaurs.

Some modern snakes (boas) do have hind limb remnants, in the male only I think.

Snakes have lost many features which lizards share with other land vertebrates. Not just legs, but also hearing and eyelids. If a legged, eyelidded, hearing creature did evolve from a snake, the structure of those features would have to develop afresh, and it would not come out the same a second time.. Evolution cannot repeat itself, it always goes from wherever it happens to be -- that's why, for example dolphins have lungs not gills -- they're mammals, and evolution could only work on what mammals have.

Most scientists believe that snakes evolved from lizards. There are legless lizards and some snakes have small protrusions that suggest they once had legs. I am not exactly positive why the conclusion is that snakes came from lizards and not the other way around, but I suspect the logic is that snakes have much more advanced biology and are more adaptable than most lizards.

Snakes did evolve from lizards as such lizards evolved from dinosaurs. Due to circumstances in the enviroment some dinosaurs grew smaller over time and became more lizard like. Then due to other circumstances some lizards didn't need legs and became snakes.

Also anyone with a brain should belive in evolution to counter someone aboves point. Too much evidence that points towards evolution and no evidence that points towards creatism. The bible is a book of stories that are meant to teach people how to be good to each other, not facts.

Why a lizard seems stunning. human beings bypass ah that candy little eco-friendly lizard with those super around eyes. Snakes on the different hand remind human beings of "serpents" - you comprehend "the serpent became into crafty...." human beings do exactly no longer have faith snakes.

Throughout history, scientists have been wrong. I say macro evolution does not exist. Lizards and snakes are separate species. Scientists will be proven wrong in the future on this subject. This theory will turn out similar to the theory where everyone thought leeches would take the "bad" blood out of you, thus curing you. Anyone who has a bible should disagree with evolution.
