160 mm rain fall in last 3 days has water logged in many part of kolkata. Do u think that only corporation is responsible for this serious situation?

We use plastic bags and throw them carelessly and indiscriminately. They clog the mouths of the water outlets. We are responsible for our carelessness. But the Government or KMC must ensure that plastic bags are no longer available. It is not sincere in doing that. The storm water pipes are heavily silted which should have been cleared by KMC well before the monsoons. This is the main reason why rain water can't drain out quickly. Surely the KMC and its Mayor are responsible for that.

How many illegal bangladeshi immigrants are there in kolkatta? Plese let them join public works department to clean the sewage and pipelines or drive them away atleast population will decrease. I think the communists will do neither.

KMC is responsible as it has not cleaned the sewers, dredged the canals or maintained properly the pumps.
