What do you think about the german attitude towards Staffords?

I think it's really sad that Germany & other countries have taken this route. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a wonderful breed - if bred & owned by responsible people. Just like any other breed. It has been proved that breed specific legislation doesn't work, let's hope all governments come to realise this and put the emphasis on responsible ownership instead.

I think there attitude stinks. I own two myself and couldnt ask for a better dog. I dont trust any other breed around my daughter nieces and nephews. They love the dogs and my dogs love them to death.

I live in Bristol and the part i live in there are no less than 6 Staffords (not including mine) in my street. My dauther plays with them all and they love her.

Staffords to me are the best breed in the world, and i think any dogs i have will most likely always be Staffs.

They're very ignorant. Some Germans have even likened the authorities behaviour to the Nazi's attitude towards Jews, etc and it does seem very harsh. I also own a Staffy and she adores children, they're her favourite people.

well i don't no what the Germans are doing to the dogs but there perfectly fine in the UK...I'm from Brighton.and there are a lot of staffs down here...and its not staffs that go for people or kids its mostly labs and golden retrievers !!

I have a Staffie and she is the most gentle lovable dog. She wouldn't hurt a fly except if she trod on it. There is no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners.

too much overbreeding has led to lots of the undesirable traits coming out in these animals. All it takes is one incident like this to pass these laws. Ask a lawmaker which life is more important--a human, or a dog. Humans will win 10 out of 10 times.
