dog problems...please read?
My dog just had x-rays and it looks like "link sausages" are blocking his colon....the matter that is obstructing the colon is lighter on the x-ray than his bone is, which means it is denser than bone, and the blockage extends for about 13 inches.
The vet is keeping him to do an enema today.
My question is how often does this type of blockage get cleared without surgery?

The closer it is to the anus the better chance of passage. They can actually "dig" it out, but the dog would have to be asleep. He might have a polyp somewhere or a growth that stopped everything up.
