Well u could like say "hi" and ya know talk about swimming and like continue it.... since he plays soccer to u mightwanna come down and see him playi soccer a lil later likea week or so since u guys talk in swimmin practice, u can ask him for his number even b4 then and juts continue to interact after like 2 weeks or something ask him out...

darling, if he doesn't step up and have enough by looking then dropit and forget about him because he will mostly break your heart sooner or later

as for if he really likes you and shy just like you, then the conversation that you start about the obvious things will develope on its own into a first date , so why not stop being shy and take the risk, after all life is a risk

Well one thing is be yourself of course. Try to help him out or try to ask "how are you" or something about his life like his school, pet(s), siblings, grades. Take it easy. Just somehow be friends for a while then one day he may tell you something or you'll somehow get the courage and tell him or ask who he likes. Make a friendship first and get to know him. Be sure you really like him if you do then try telling him. Maybe ask him if he could come to your house and play or something like invite him to a party. (Well after you become friends) Follow your heart

Ask him about how soccer practice was and ask him why he wanted to go out for swimming. Make up some topics, movies, schools, etc.

maybe he will come talk to you.

if not then go over and just say "hey whatsup?"

just strike up a conversation! Talk about what you know he is into. Ask him questions, give him compliments, FLIRT!

ask him if he thinks that you have good form or something. engage him in a conversation about swimming since you obviosly both enjoy it. after that just let the conversation flow.
