why are they insulting the shooter?
after the virginia shooting thing, the news was asking why he did this. they said it might be violent games and movies, as if he were too weak minded to think for himself or too stupid to shoot people without any guidance.

Yeah, I saw an interview where the reporter was trying to push the "violent video game" thing. The student he was talking to obviously thought the reporter was a complete moron--as did I.
It's such a tired, unsupported argument, and has been repeatedly proven false.
The media likes to bring up the video games argument because it plays to their audience. And I suppose some people genuinely were just trying to make sense of the whole thing.
Actually, the strangest thing to me, in watching Cho's own videos, was that he didn't *really* appear angry/disturbed.
It was more like watching a bad actor.
Personally, I think he hated his life so much that he wrote a character for himself, and acted out the part. That, to me explains the change of appearance, and the words "Ismael Ax" written on his arm. I think that was the name he gave himself.
