meteor heading right towards me.?

Never mind where and when, because it was so long ago and so far away. I was at a semenar in a park-like setting, the sun had gone down and it was getting darker. All of a sudden this small light in the sky,(it started out like a bright star and then it grew) started getting bigger, but it wasn't moving that I could tell. But all of a sudden it looked like it exploded, without making a sound.I thought that it was a meteor heading exactlly where I was and it burned up in the Earths atmosphere. Has this happened to anyone.what do you think it was?

As you said, it could have been a meteor heading towards you. They're called "point meteors".

It was more than likely the size of a grain of sand. One night I saw two that seemed to heading right toward me getting brighter and brighter and then shot to one side. One right after another. I heard a couple of weeks later that two meteors had crashed in or around russia apparently large enough to impact during that same time period..

It could be an old satellite, a meteroid, space junk, etc... If it's really really fast, it's from outer space. If you can see it for over 10 seconds, it's probably from our orbit. I've seen film of old satellites burning up and they move relatively slowly (17,000 mph) like the space shuttle does when it takes off.

Nope. But I was driving in St. Louis once when I saw one burning up. Pretty cool. You're right, it sort of "puffs out" in the air and never lands.

I think it was your drug-induced high wearing off. Or maybe an alien spaceship.
