The probabilities are they would.. despite contradictions in conscience as they have to have one policy on nuke to one country and another for other country... Sufficient excuses would however be available to answer the critics... India is more dependable and always behaved responsibly with her adversaries, to say one excuse...

But the the more pressing reasons always lie beyond the immediate view in politics... India is emerging into a global economic power... There is great market for pushing American interests...

The cooperation is bound to be strong since India is also a country facing incessant terrorist onslaughts and can be expected to work sincerely towards anti terrorist measures at global level... unlike their old friend Pakistan... the latter is likely to be under terrorist control and can not do much sincerely (as many critics opine...and their views are more logical too)...

But, above all, any country - America or India or whoever - has first to see their own country's long term interests... to retain their own vote banks on one hand and it is not a sin... That is what Chanakya's Artha Sastra would say too!

US will cooperate as per the deal/contract, and not the way india wants.

India can have nukes but Iran can't.

sends a real good hypocritical message there.

Noone should have them at all, but if your going to say no to one, say no to all.

then start by getting rid of your own.

for non violent applications, truthfully particular.. for arising bombs.. it quite is a NO NO.. the U. S. dont spend trillions of greenbacks to enhance a technologies which will basically receive away for goodwill.. India isn't even a signatory for NPT.. i think of, india ought to make herself to blame as a clean nuclear potential and connect the NPT club and forestall different international locations to enhance nuclear bombs.
