Burning pictures on dvd?

With a cd-r or rw it works without problem. I don`t even need a special programm. In the windows explorer a just pull the pictures on the cd and the cd accepts them. But with the DVD it does not work?

Can somebody help me?

    The DVD drive has to support CDRW (cd read/write)

    Otherwise it can't write to the drive.

    DVD need dvd authoring tools which are diffrent from CD R tools whihc are inbuilt as u said.

    for buring a DVD u need a DVD authoring tool like dvd burn or something search for it on download.com there are many
