My ipod is driving me crazy!!!?

I also hate the auto-updating feature. What I do is I set my Ipod to "Manual" mode. When connecting the ipod right click on it's name in the I-tunes window then go to options. Inside options there will be a choice where you can set it to "manual" mode. What this means is the ipod will no longer be automatically updated but instead you will have to drag song's into it's window and then the songs will be uploaded to the Ipod. It gives you much more control over the Ipod but you have to remember to "eject" the ipod yourself manually before disconnecting it. When in doubt consult the manual :)

open itunes press ctrl+, or go to edit button prefences,when prefences buttons pops up go to the ipod tab and connect your ipod(if ipod is already connected) then u'll see a button(unchecked) which says manually manage songs and playlist;just check that and it will say manually "updating ipod requires you to...." just say yes and every time you connect your ipod it won't update automatically and you can drag your songs on the ipod.....i hope this helps ;)

Check to make sure that the iPod isn't full. Also, make sure the songs are in the correct format. I've had videos let me drag them to my 30GB but then not ever show up.
