Try getting a walkthrough for the game at http://www.gamefaqs.com/ . It will tell you how to do everything. I beat this game already it is a great game and I got a great walkthrough from this site that helped me beat it.

wow that game is hard, I don't remember specifically where you get it, but I do know that you will come upon it, sooner or later... sorry that's no help at all, try searching Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age Walkthrough on google, maybe that'll help you out.
