How do I stop a person who does'nt listen to you for stopping her(or)him of a gambling hobbit?

Hobbits have their own free will, my concerned friend. If the hobbit wants to gamble, you should let it. They've certainly earned the privilege - having destroyed the One True Ring and all. I say, let them gamble, and give them all the ale they want (it comes in pints, you know). Just watch that Longbottom Leaf: it makes them goofy.

Well you can go to the casino and ask that they not be allowed in. They have that option available to the person who has the gambling problem. They have to sign the paper though.

Do an intervention with the whole family, friends and coworkers is the best. Most gamblers don't like anybody knowing what is going on. Once it's out in the open they get embarrassed.

Do it quick, an addictive gambler is not something good to deal with, because you will hit rock bottom, lose your home, your vehicles, marriage....everything. And they don't realize it until it's ALL GONE!

And they have nothing left!

Gambling Hobbits is a problem. All Hobbits gamble and have from time immemorial. I don't think you can get them to stop gambling any more than you can convince them to stop smoking longbottom leaf, or drinking ale.

What's a gambling hobbit?

With addictions, you cant help the person until they want to get help themselves. Addiction will go in a downward spiral until the person reaches a personal bottom where the consequences are no longer acceptable to him or her. Thats when they will ask for help, and thats when it becomes your business.

You probably can not. They have a mind of their own and when it comes to gambling -no one can tell them anything .

She has an addiction and if you really want to help find a counselor for her to go to and make an intervention, but if she doesn't want to stop you really can't make her.

You don't ...The only person who is going to make that happen is the person who is doing it...They have to get the help and they have to want it ..Just like drugs and alcohol
