Changing media player BACK to my default player?

open windows media player -> tools -> options -> file types -> select all -> apply -> ok

First open Windows Media Player. If the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, etc...) is not shown at the top of the Media Player window, press control-M.

Then select Tools, Options, and select the File Types tab. You can choose specific File Types to play with media player or select all.

Open Media Player, go to Tools, then select Options, File types, click on Select all, then click on OK. Media player is now your default player. Good luck!

Go into options on your Windows media player, click the file types tab, click the box so there is a tick in it next to the file types you want it to play then click OK.

Dig in media player options. There you can check, or uncheck file associations in there. May take a minute, media players options are a bit cluttered.

You can also right click on a mp3 for example, (or other media yio ucant media player for) and select "open with" there, select media player on the list, and check the box "always use this".

Hey Buddy,

Select the File you want to Play.

Click the Right Mouse button.

Sellect Open With

Choose the Program.

Tick the Always use the Program to Open Files .

Bingo it will solve now.

best Bet reinstall it,

i ran into the same problem once i installed winamp over WMP 10 so just did a reinstall will wrk ,

the other way is press the SHIFT key and right click on the file u wanna open u'll see a open with button , once there select wmp 10 and check the box which says use this for all same file types

right click a media file

go properties, open with, media player

now all media files will open with wmp, 10 for that thanks...

if you take computer classes lol it will probably teach you how to do this wont it
